Both women and men have been oppressed by powerful women and men. In history is always people in power that oppressed the people who have little to no power. Men have been mostly been exploited for hard labor by the rich and governments while women have been mostly been exploited for moving the family status by marrying the rich and powerful of people in their class and they are been exploited for sex for money. For women who are born in a wealthy and powerful family would be use by their family to make connections with other wealthy and powerful families to keep their maintain and increase their status. For women who are born in poorer families, would be less educated and look down upon and their families really can afford to raise them they would be sold alway to slavery. For men are born in wealthy and powerful family, they have all the power and their job is to make sure carry their family’s name and keep their family and increase their families status and they can’t mess up any mistakes will cause their reputation and their family will not be able to move up the social ladder. For men who are born in poorer families but educated, they have to higher chance to a job and protect and provide for their families and their labor is paid by the rich families, corporates and governments. If the men are poor and uneducated or poorly educated would be enslaved by through not being able to pay off debts or through warfare after being captured by the enemy.
Even now people are being oppressed just in more insidious ways. The weak, vulnerable, poor people are going be oppressed by the powerful and wealthy. Everyone is going to be discriminated for who they are whether it be class, income, gender, race, sexuality, religion, nationality and beliefs and when there is discrimination there is oppressed. The powerful use all of these labels and systems to divide and conquer everyone below them to block competitions
For example, Nazis were purposely discriminatory to everyone who is not like them and opposed them and they used it as reason to justify their wars. Every country have done it before and still continues to do it just not in the public eye.
