How to Get Windows 10 for FREE (Unactivated, 100% Free and Legal, No Pirating)

In this video I go through how to get unactivated Windows 10 onto a freshly assembled system. Afterward I talk about some frequently asked questions surrounding Windows keys in general and open it up to you all for discussion regarding why Microsoft isn't more strict about this as much as they have been in the past.

Disclaimer: I own multiple legitimate copies of Windows that I use on my personal daily use computer (keys I've bought when I was in college through my school as well as keys I have bought directly from Microsoft with discounts). I am showing this to people as an alternative to pirating and grey market sellers to get them started with some form of an OS if they cannot afford to pay for Windows. Whether or not they determine it's worth paying down the line when they do get more money is up to them.

If you want to remove the watermark while gaming then you can use razer cortex with the disable explorer.exe option checked, but you wont be able to multi task until you exit your game.

i been using the activation keys from kinguin for my college PC and for 1 year there are no issues that ive experience on the windows licence deactivating itself.... maybe its because i live in a third world country...

you know your internet sucks when it took you literally 6 hours just to make the bootable USB drive.

I believe Windows is fine with doing this because they'd rather have you using windows, than other OS's.

I have used keys from Kinguin and they work fine. It is 50/50 weather they authenticate or not, but this still does not prove to be a problem - you connect to Microsoft Customer Support online, they remote into your clean-install, and activate it for you. Yes, Microsoft do this. Provided the key is indeed still valid. I only buy Windows Pro keys, but have done a heap of Windows 8.1 Pro clean-installs like this, and Microsoft themselves activate the system if the standard install won't accept the key. I have had these systems running for years now, and no sign of any deactivation or anything like that.

alot of these keys being sold on these sotes are from colleges and msdn sites.

when i was in college my computer engineering teacher gave me a sheet with 100 windows vista keys (this was the week before vista was released prior to it going to the general public)

even now if i want any sort of program key i just hit up my local college and they will give me one since im a former student.

I think the number of people who build their own PC is such a small percentage of overall windows users that Microsoft doesn't really care. Keep in mind that the masses in general buy Dells, HPs, etc. with windows pre-installed. Even those who have PCs built for them by a local or online shop are still getting legit Windows keys. Btw, I got my key from Kinguin about a year ago and so far I've had no issues.

Microsoft doesn't only want more market share versus Linux or OSX, but more market share for Windows 10. It looks better to have the Windows 10 more widely adopted versus everyone staying on Windows 7 or even XP.

If I were to ever to get desperate enough to use Windows 10, I would keep the machine offline. The only reason for having Windows right now is specific software requirements (accounting, CAD, etc...). My daily driver O.S. right now is Linux Mint MATE 18.1 and it does everything I want, including Steam gaming. As much as I love PC gaming, I would use and Xbox for Windows gaming before using Windows 10. I have a real problem with their data mining. Keep the videos coming Danny, great job!

I got windows 10 from searching "windows 10 assistive technology". I don't know how I came across it, exactly but I saw a forum where they talked about a windows 10 upgrade for those who agree to use assistive technology... whatever that means? I think it just refers to Cortana. Anyways now I have windows 10 home, fully functional, customizable and it's from the official Microsoft website!

I worked at a scrap metal center where we would get alot of dumped computers and parts. Most still have their license stickers on them and we would get quite a few every week. If i used my phone camera to take snap shots of the keys, i would at least have 20 or so a week. Alot of these materials are sent overseas to be disassembled for metals, and i mean by the container load. So i would say if they are going to all that trouble for metal, and the keys have value, its not too inconceivable to imagine the opportunity. Just sayin.

Title is a little misleading. Should have been "Run Windows 10 Unactivated for Free".
