5. The burpee is a bodyweight exercise which works almost every muscle in the body, and the cardiovascular system. However, they're difficult to do and you might need to work your way up to them. The half burpee, also known as a down up, will help to build the strength and endurance needed for burpees, or can be used as an alternative if you prefer!

1. Stand tall with feet shoulder width apart.
2. Brace your core and drop into a high plank position by placing your hands on the floor at shoulder distance apart, then kick your feet behind you.
3. Jump your feet back up towards your hands.
4. Then jump as high as you so your feet leave the ground.
Complete the required amount of reps.
