Step 1 -- When does the error occur

This error suddenly appears when your Windows is booting in normal condition and then your system restarts automatically.

Step 2 -- Download hotfix

Once the system will load in normal condition, download the hotfix for this error from the support site of Microsoft.

Step 3 -- Provide an email address

Once you have clicked on the Hotfix Download Available button, you will be redirected to another page where you will have to provide your email address. A link to the hotfix will be emailed to you.

Step 4 -- Extract the files

Step 5 -- Open Windows Update Standalone Installer

Once you are done, the Download and Install Update Window will open up and will initialize and install the Hotfix.

This error is for USB Video devices?  Obviously that is not the only cause as I am experiencing this error without any webcam or other video-using device connected by USB.

i get this error while im playing most games (mostly MMORGPs and FPSs) but never when my computer starts up does the hotfix still solve problems like this?

I get the error in installing WIndows 7 ??!!... everything goes fine until the last few things in the installation, then everything stops, PC restarts gives me the BSOD, restarts again, reentering setup and a message comes up "windows has made a suddently closing and setup cannot comtinue installing Windows" and then im back to square 1 again :( i have tried other ram, other hdd's other optical drives and so on with no luck PC is a Packard Bell Btw

That is all well and good if your system boots up. What do you do when you are trying to install a new hard drive ( due to old one crashing ) and you get the error? The system does not boot up. Have tried repeatedly over the last several days.

My computer will not even get past the blue screen. I have tried starting safe mode with and without command prompt and with networking. It wont start at all it just keeps resetting. It is definitely either the updates that I just tried to install from windows update or avast. Cannot be sure though. Please help!
