I was LITERALLY just thinking about something like this earlier today.

An invincible Mario (kinda), a not-invincible puzzle. Mario must escort key pieces around a world that can't harm him (save for the spikes, everyone's bane), but can definitely harm others.

I just didn't think it'd be to expand on THIS idea!

Basically, this is a video from Level UP called "When Mario becomes FIREPROOF! (Extended version)", and Mario won't die to any fire that touches him. So, based on what you want to know how he didn't die, your fireballs did nothing towards him, because he is fireproof.

the block of ice part is legit a great level-design ! Introducing a feature : now you know how it works, the ice melts when there's fire, OK. And THEN you introduce the concept of losing because the ice melted, knowing you need the ice to continue

The full level details is amazing. I do love how the lava has a jet stream when the fire cannons are active and the lava splashes when jump man swims or the buzz saws enter / leave the lava. My favorite part is that the axes are burning while submerged under lava, ha ha.

It's honestly nice how this video doesn't portray mario as OP by being immune to fire and still takes damage or has obstacles to pass that he fails in. Always love that balance of Fails and Wins
