Debby the 'once in a thousand years' storm' expected to make second landfall tonight

Tropical Storm Debby continues to move throughout the East bringing days of heavy rainfall and severe flash flooding. Despite the storm, onlookers have headed to the beach to see it for themselves.

Omg so much sensationalism. The 4 dead in Florida were car accidents from hydroplaning because driver was going too fast.
Once in a thousand year storm, it was light rain and 20 mph gusts in central Florida.

I'm from South Carolina and have never heard of Waterboro. There is a Walterboro in Colleton county that would put it in the path of the storm. Just wondering.

However, 8 deaths is about four hours of Friday night shootouts in Chicago.

It could have been a one in a thousand however as it was lingering off the coast it picked up a lot of dry air which will lessen the torrential deluge it could have brought, even though what it will bring is not anything to sneeze about. Luckily soon after making landfall it will not linger as Matthew and Florence did but will more quickly move NE. Even though there will be flooding especially as the rivers crest. Stay safe.
