In the 90s everybody was using a certain sp12 snare was kind of a Pete Rock signature. Filtering with the Rhodes bassline was a John Doe/J Dilla sound. But shit there's beats out here where titled a Pete Rock remix or credited by a producer that were purchased from another producer

Bink is a legend in his own. Most artists steal from great artists, but if you make it your own. That's what matters.

Bink & just have similarities, but I can clearly hear their differences as well. Love both.

I think everyone starts off emulating your favourite until you gain enough confidence to try new things that’s when a star is born but that comes after traing and knowing what is possible and what ain’t

YES Just Blaze can flip anyone elses style. BUT lets not discretid the music he made that no one else could, Touch The Sky, Fires In Hell, The NBA LIVE 2003 music, Pump It Up, React, Roc Da Mic, Hypnotic, i could go on. Just does have his own distinct style also

It kills me how these dudes act like hip hop was not developed by sampling from the same exact break beats over and over but doing them different. This is how it is it’s the foundation! I get it but Bink and Blaze do not sound the same maybe here and there but come on now

Buckshot of Black Moon said the same thing about Blaze ...They played him a track and he went and used that sample and gave it to Jay Z and it became a big song ... It was the best for Public Announcement/ My name is HOV... Black Moon was going to use that beat as a single but Jay z dropped it before they did

Bink was speaking about the live drums sounding part not so much of the sampling but even so you can sample the same record and use it a million different ways...

In the end Bink could say if you're a producer TRY to make your own sound. He took certain techniques and formed his own thing. You have to also entertain if someone is learning under you they WILL pattern your method and evolve eventually

Bink is just bitter. If Just Blaze wasn’t successful, Bink wouldn’t care about all this. I am glad Just Blaze bit his style cos if not we wouldn’t have all the amazing music we have got from Just Blaze all over the years

as far as style "u dont know" 2001 just blaze sounds very similar to "1900-hustler" 2000 Bink

Blink wasn’t the first one doing that we been doing that in Chicago area. Just like Kanye came to the roc with the sound from the noid family. Took it to New York and the entire east coast took it.

Well the people who bink samples probably feel the same way. Also, jay might have told Just to make beats that had binks similar vibe.

At the end of the day we all get inspiration from each other… that’s like telling a pianist he can’t play a style of music because he didn’t create that style. As long as Just didn’t make a beat beat that was identical to Binks or close to being identical, it should be taken as flattering. But bink should definitely get his flowers to though, and be acknowledged for the role and what he contributed to the Roc a Fella sound.

I remember on alot of those old Rocafella coassics both Bink and Just Blazd use to do that technique with the snare where theyd both put the reeverb very high and solo the snare for drops. I think that was originally binks thing maybe

Just Blaze became hybrid of Bink & Ye, but mastered it

Listen to "Who Want What" by Beanie Sigel. Sounds exactly like Swizz, just like Bink said he sounded in the beginning.
