Convert Horizontal Video To Vertical Premiere Pro

In this tutorial, I'll show you show to create a vertical video from a horizontal video. In other words, converting the landscape video into a portrait video. In this way, the edges of the frame will be cut out. This is different from rotating a video. For example, if you got a video of 1920 x 1080, it'll change to a video of 1080 x 1920. That means 1920 - 1080 = 840 will be shorter from the sides. Portrait videos are great for mobile phone platforms such as Instagram Reels, IGTV, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube Short, etc.

Note: When you swapped the aspect ratio, the height remained 1080 and the width was downsized to 608. Your video went from 1920x1080 to 1080x608. If you want that to be 1080x1920, you need to change the size again after it auto-downscales your video.
