This is something I am going to have to do a lot soon. Since my husband and I are get three huskies two brothers and their sister. So much fun.

I walk both my huskies together and all three ( my two + our old foster husky who visits ) together at least a few miles every day 😂😂😂. I have a bunjee couple lead and I LOVE it. I also use the gentle leader head halters and they both heal right by my side!! I’ve worked hard on their training and they are AMAZING!! For walking I taught them both the “ sidewalk “ command and “ Let’s go “. I am now working on teaching them left and right and they are doing SO good. The sidewalk command comes in very useful for if they go in someone’s yard since many people don’t like that. And let’s go is great for when they want to stop and sniff. You should try head halters- when I tried it on my first foster husky i was so against them because he REFUSED to walk with it on. I then tried it on my current male and he took to it great- my female took a slow introduction but now walks perfect on it. They will seriously never pull again if you get them- and they are safe and don’t hurt the dog whatsoever. I won’t lie I can walk my three huskies + our elderly small dog for miles and miles at a time without them getting tangled or pulling, they are walk in a straight line on the sidewalk and turn around if I do 😂 so it is a little funny to me seeing these two huskies running around in people’s yards and all lol

I have two Belgian mals and they are twins I adopted one back in February her training is going great and was just able to get her twin over the weekend he has no training besides potty and I can totally relate to this and will apply his training with him solo they will be walking together in no time

I walk the dogs on a double lead all the time. It's a great way to teach all of the mushing commands (haw, gee, whoa, on by, stand out, etc.). Also, it is critical to use swivel snaps. And you should also mention that it's important to use the brass snaps as they are a lot less likely to freeze and are much easier to handle with big mitts on your hands.

You are too funny! I have two adopted husky mixes, a 9-mo old female (adopted at 7 mos old) and a just-turned 2-yr old male (adopted at 1 yr old). Both miraculously completed basic training, and YES! walking them separately is a TOTALLY different story! HELP!

My dogs are so much worse. One is a little staffy mix. She’s 10 now but we never could achieve level two in training. Very strong girl. So we take her to the paddock and let her wander as she wishes except in summer when there’s snakes. (Australia guys). But now I have a 14 year old rescue American Staff who is a very good walker and needs his activity. It is hell on earth walking them both at the same time...but they want to be together!. Some times I’ve got in such a tangle I end up walking backwards until I untangle. I guess at their ages it was always going to be a challenge.
