The Toyota Yaris made some minor changes for 2015, but plenty of other small cars are better buys.

Saved up $16k to buy this exact car. Solid small car. Very good on gas. I live in a rural area, so I'm always going through twisty roads, and long rides. Takes about 30 minutes to get to work. Brakes are good. Acceleration is great. Fastest I go on average is 70mph. Not a problem. However, when you start hitting 90mph, it gets a little shakey.

My biggest complaint is that it doesn't have center console, but you can buy one online for around $80

Very good car

The reviewer is biased: not everyone of us has a 'fun to drive car'. I prefer reliability and low costs. I had my toyota iq 1.3 engine for six years and never gave me a single problem, I did not even had to change a lamp! I gave it away to get a yaris hybrid 2015 (coming in a couple of days, wish me luck guys). Reviews in yaris (and IQ) were average, let's hope I will get them wrong :)

We love our 2015 Yaris never a issue super reliable and got it for less than 5, 000 bucks. I’ll drive the wheels off of it just like the previous matrix I owned. It’s nice to always know your car is going to start for ya. Toyota reliability all the way. Still daily driving my 1990 Toyota pickup 22RE 4x4 and love it. The wife drives the Yaris.

I got my 2015 Yaris for 7000 I've had no issues I've taken it on 8 hour trips gas is not a problem with this car I go weeks without filling it up, my paint is just fine you just have to take care of your vehicle, there is a yaris that someone in my city has I see it around and it looks terrible because they don't take care of it its very smooth and very comfortable my yaris has 100, 000 miles on it and I've never had to fix my car its very easy to change your own oil on the car too, I am very happy with the 2015 yaris

The reviewers sarcasm isn’t funny, it is snobbish. People buying a Yaris are looking for reliable, light on the wallet transportation…that’s it. The Yaris is perfect for that.

Bought mine for $8, 700 it's true handling is not as easy as you would think but is easy to park great mileage in highway not so much on City. I enjoy it

Tom, you may be able to do better, but as reliable, durable as this?? I don't think so, just look at your own used car surveys.

I like Toyota, but I think the Honda Fit is a better deal.

good review.  you cant beat basic and reliable transportation though. sounds like a good first car for my daughter. if you want excitement, buy a used GM car, where you can call for a ride when your car leaves you stranded, and dealing with dealerships for the latest recall on your particular model

It's not the quietest on the road but this isn't really that important, car noise is not irrating driving it on a motorway unless you super sensitive to noise and your ears can't hack it. Had cars just as noisy in the past so I know what I 'm getting. Not a car designed for speed or to be raced on the motorways, it is basically a city car which does the basics of getting from A to B. People say it's boring or no fun.. and I think that superpicky what are you expecting from a small engine . What you get is a pretty solid reliable and dependable car which will last with the basic maintenance. Seen these cars being abused by other users and they still run without problems. A really good car and certainly one which gets overlooked

This would be an okay car for $12K.   At $18K it ridiculously over-priced.

Why buy a Yaris when the new Corolla is cheaper (with higher rebates), bigger, faster, and more fuel efficient? This just a place holder until the Mazda2 based redesign comes.

Well! Toyota must have been listening because this was the last time Toyota sent the 1NZFE to the states. 2016+ models were Mazda. They cut all the affordable vehicles. I imagine it was to keep the coffers full. Surely the 1nz could have made it till the 2018 dynamic force series engines came out.

I believe the Yaris is an attractive little car that will be very reliable, but I also think that it's overpriced. The L models are more affordable but provide few amenities. I wish Toyota could offer the various models of this car at lower prices.

Its not a bad car, it rides good, its solid even on highways even going 80 mph, and the dash doesn't rattle, its anemic with the 4 speed auto, but with a stick it should better, and its better to buy it used because its cheaper.

This is built in Japan so because of the high cost of building cars over there, you are paying more than the car should be. Corolla is a better deal all around, even the mileage is almost the same.

Aren't you able to get a Corolla LE that is equipped the same as this for less than 18.5k??

Just got a used yaris, it’s the perfect basic car: cheap, reliable, basic. Runs great even though it’s got some miles. Super easy to park too! 10/10 would drive again.

We rented a Toyota Yaris to make a four hour trek to Toronto Airport. The experience gave a whole new meaning to the words, austere and underwhelming. I longed after my 1992 Dodge Spirit (RIP), after being forcibly nudged over and scoffed at by 18 wheeler captains laughing and pointing as they passed. Next time we are going to hitch a ride with the Griswolds.
