what an amazing athlete, even a 2nd place finish in diamond league seems an agony. You can measure his greatness easily, just keep him aside and then see the history of Indian athletics.

Neeraj is a good athlete and nice person, who is also a role model for a lot of people, but he is not the best and never was. He is consistent alright and lucky, by winning Tokyo. He should also be greatful for 2nd, because there are stronger guys around. Definitely top 5, but not 1st. I believe he will be able to push further, as he is still young, but he is not there yet.

Great accomplishment, it is good to discuss Neeraj and his greatness, but what about other athletes like Letsile Tebogo, Duplantis, Ackeem, Noah Lyle. If you want to popularize Track and Field don't just concentrate on Javelin. The greatness of Ryan Crouser, Grant Halloway, Rai Benjamin who is the son of the great cricketer Winston Benjamin. Please be more balanced than just one event.

He has to take it easy - feels like he is trying too hard. And missing even the 89m he is capable of.

He would have lost in the diamond league qualifier - because another contestant told him to take it easy - and then the last throw he was able to qualify.
