It was great to get some practice on BOTH methods of writing the same thing. I mean, eg, either putting the modulus of x is less than 1/5 OR PUTTING -1/5 is less than x and x is less than 1/5 etc. And it was helpful to be taught how to work with and alter the figures in the first expression, ie, dividing both sides by same number etc.

I feel that it's little skills like that taught and shown to us that help make us overall better mathematicians.
