Nice video, even the harvest man was down to learn about native species.

Not sure if others would agree but I really want to see a tour video of your front yard. I live in the suburbs and I think it would be helpful to see how you have your yard planted to help me with mine. I love your videos and all that you do for native habitats!

Way more to it than I ever thought. Could you write a book on all of this for your fellow Eagle Scout?!😅🤣🤣

I just went of a seeding hike on Sunday. Next week Saturday I'm going out with a big ass bag of mesquite/desert willow/barrel cactus/some native shrubs idk the names of, and we're put them out where the caballeros killed everything over the last 150 years for their cows.

Extremely relevant actually. There's Joe Pye Weed all over the ditch down the road from me.

Just what I was thinking about yesterday. I found some Joe Pye that was ready to go. I’ve collected many different native seeds this year and can’t wait to plant them!

Roadsides were a great place to start my tiny native wildflower garden. Now I supply all my neighbors with echinacea seeds

This is the sort of info I've been looking for, trying to save seeds of the cool native plants I see as they're flowering out around me

Thanks to your videos I understand how important the savannahs are for native insect and animal habitat.

Would you ever consider creating a series of shorts covering how native people(s) used these plants?

I've done this for at least a decade, maybe two but I've always had a hard time getting anyone else to care. They might say, "That's cool!" but they won't do it.

Anyone notice the daddy long legs?

I really like the idea of getting seeds and dispersing them.

I love your channel and what your doing it is inspiring. How did you start to figure out what’s native to your area?

On many plants the stem will turn brown at the base of the flower head and that's another way to know when they're ready.

I bought about 15-20 gigantic garbage cans to help me collect natives seeds from my prairie. It's very efficient. And they all stack up nicely in the off season. I also utilize 5 gallon bucket with a strap to go around my neck for lower species
