PZL P.24G, first test flights, 1/20 scale CO2 powered model

I managed to let months pass by without bothering to trim the PZL. Nijmegen is drawing nearer. By the time I decided to trim the model, the weather had deterirated significantly.
A rare opportunity presented itself yesterday, so I took it. Late hour, low breese, a bit too humid and late dark, but good enough for first test flights...

So,
clip #1, heavy bank to the left, some stall, shot down by single tall standing grass. But ok for a first...

clip #2, inceased right thrust, some downthrust. Perfect launch except for a minor detail, propeller was running backwards... Stupidity? Yes, definetely...

clip #3, propeller turning the right way (stupid me #1...), less bank, still some stalling but good overall, failed to film until the end...

clip #4, added some blue tack on the nose, cured not all but most of the stall, an accetable flight of about fifteen seconds... The tank had frozen in the end, so I packed up for home.

Wait, no clip #4 to be seen? Stupid me #2, I failed to film it, being more concerned with triming, which of course is the way to go...

Speed seems very good, moderate power setting, gas charges only for these tests. I like the sound of the motor, very optimistic I will not make a fool of me again in the CO2 class next month... Or so I hope..

Lovely and slow and nothing too scary for its first time out. Already it's easy to imagine that circling sedately indoors. (Nice clover field too)
