What's going on Initiate, Bird here and in this video we are going over the second half of Miquella of the Haligtree, St. Trina!

St. Trina is described as a young individual of ambiguous gender, described variously as a young girl, or a young boy. Their appearance was sudden, as was their disappearance. There are carvings of St. Trina depicted as an adult, though this is said to be unnerving to look at.
Trina has a following of priests that are stated to use sleep-inducing arrows for ritual purposes.
Trina's Lily is seen as a symbol of faith in the saint, and it is used to dull the senses and prevent agitation.
Fevor was a man utterly captivated by St. Trina, and was said to have searched for her in his dreams. His cookbooks teach crafting recipes for sleep status items.
St. Trina is the cast-off other half of Miquella. He discarded St. Trina along with everything else when he entered the Land of Shadow, and she lies at the bottom of the Stone Coffin Fissure guarded by the Putrescent Knight which imbibed some of her nectar. Despite being left behind, Trina's love for Miquella was boundless. For this reason, she wished for Miquella to be killed, for she knew that his godhood would be his prison.

In the final battle of the DLC we can see that miquella is slowly fading away( missing arm and eyes we can read it in his crown discription). in other words the poor fella is half dead when we meet him. We can also notice that he is speaking like a hollow puppet (no emotions whatsoever).
this can be explained with him abandoning his flesh and his emotions in order to rid himself from everything that could influence his dicissions in any way. This is because miquella saw what happened after marika became a god, she didnt rid herself from her emotions or other half(radagon). marika was filled with guilt and grief after her family (shamans where killed by the hornsent). this grief turned into hatred which lead to her raging a genocide against the hornsent. Miquella stripped himself from everything that could lead him to not see with eyes unclouded by hate, doubt and love. We can see this thoughout the whole dlc by visiting the different crossses. This also explains why miquella despretly wanted radahn to become his consort, not becaus of his might but more because of his kindness. Miquella wanted to make sure that radahn would garantee that the age of compassion would be a pure age guided by kindness which miquella would be unable to feel after he sacrificed himself. not to mention that miquella was unable to meet malenia after he was kidnapped by Mogh.

important! We can find a cross before finding St trina, this cross reads:, , here i abandon my love" the word used for love in the original japanese text is 愛, it is not a word specific for romantic love, it can be "love" in general, or affection. in other words the love/affection he would feel towards other and maybe himself too :D. This is for those who falsley thought that miquella was in love with st trina. Now it makes more sense why he abadoned st trina knowing that she was tho one that helped the merchants who were suffering under the frenzied flame. she also beggs us to save miquella from the torture and prison that godhood would mean for him. she beggs us to free him from his guilt so that the poor child may rest in peace. She is the half of miquella that feels compassion or better grants forgiveness and rest (sleep).

Its also important to understand that St trina and Miquella are not two different people that happen to share the same body but instead are two halfs of one being. This explains why she dies after we defeat miquella the same reason marika died after we kill radagon. The only reason why we can see miquella and st trina at the same time is because miquella physiclly ripped her out something that is slowly killing him.
They represent different asspects from one being. Remember what the turtle pope told us: Radagon is Marika!

I don't play Elden Ring but im here for the lore and they're medieval way of talking. This dialogue in particular, made me feel things i dont understand. You're already a god, a supreme being, no one can ever save you, and it's profoundly tragic.

The DLC also finally explains one of the wierdest parts of the main game!
How can Marika and Radagon be the same being but also having children.
Throughout the whole DLC and main game the concept of two is everywhere, the two fingers, the spirals in Enir-Ilim, twins, why there needs to be a lord and consort!
In the secret area north-east in the DLC we can find the destroyed shaman village, the home of marika/radagon. Inside the village is a small tree created by marika but more importantly a statue. The statue looks a lot like marika and we can even find her hair there but at a closer look we can see that the supposing marika statue has no boobs suggesting its a male. This can be explained with the bioligie of the shaman. We learn that the hornsent captured the shaman and put them in the living jars, this was because they tried to create something devine. From the discription of the tooth whip and the living jars, we know that the flesh of the (still alive!) shamans wierdly mingels with another rather natural. This suggests that the shaman are a wierd primordial lifeform that are capacle of bieng mixing ones flesh with another. Remember that the primordial crucible is discriped as the single life form from which everything came from and everything was once one and the same. The three fingers tells us the same! This explains why the hornsents were oppsessed with the shamans/Numens, they are the only thing that remained of the primordial crucible. This also explains why the shamans that we find look surprisingly androgynous, they are simply made out of both female and male! That is how marika/radagon and miquella/st.trina are the same being. marika/st.trina are the female motherly loving half and radagon/miquella the masculin fatherly and loyal half! This is how they are capable of more or less, ,asexual" reproduction. The shamans/numens are the blueprint of all living things similar to the first living cell that can repreduce via mitose. The idea of shamans/numens being the only direct descendens of the primordial crucible is futher verifiable by marika being called a numen an old word for gods of nature( read the wiki for more informations)!

You are all missing a crucial point we learned from the jars in the DLC. Shamans can merge their flesh with others. Marikas off spring have this ability too. Radagon and Marika were likely separate but became one. No mention of Radagon anywhere in her village.

This part has definitely puzzles me. No matter what we have done in the base game (besides killing radahn and Mohg) according to the devs, wont affect the DLC. It almost makes me wonder if the wings of the goddess of rot being in Romina's possession were either

So, heres my headcannon:

I think that instead of her literally possessing malenia's wings, it is a more metaphoric meaning.

Malenia rejected the rot, trying to contain it and purge it with unalloyed gold. In that sense she "rejected" the butterflies which represent her affliction and power bestowed upon her by the outer god of rot. Note in the item description it doesnt say "the wings of the goddess of rot" it says:

*"the scarlet butterflies are AS the Goddess of rots wings, bereft of a master, they were soothed by Romina who reached out to them"*

To me, this sounds like Romina is a paradox to Malenia. Unlike malenia who rejected rot, Romina embraced it, being a willing vassal of the sealed God and thus possessing the scarlet butterflies as seen in the Godess of Rot's wings.

The boss protecting st. Trina couldnt return its spirit and rest eternaly so st. Trina helped it rest. I noticed, replaying the game after the dlc, that st. Trina lilies spawn around the undead mariners alot.
