The MYSTERIOUS St. Trina of #eldenring Shadow of the Erdtree

St. Trina is one of the most mysterious beings in Elden Ring as she is absent in the base game’s world despite multiple items bearing her name and the status of sleep being heavily attributed to her. In Shadow of the Erdtree, we find St. Trina guarded by the Putrescent Knight and her form is strangely plant like with her head being cradled in her arms. Interacting with her allows you to imbibe her nectar but in true Fromsoft fashion, this will result in an instant game over. She is integral to Thollier’s questline as we can take him to her and he wants to hear her voice. To do so, you must imbibe her nectar and die 4 times. Progressing her quest will reveal she wants us to defeat Miquella and grant him forgiveness while also allowing us to summon Thollier during the final boss battle.
There are many other easter eggs, references, and callbacks to Berserk in Elden Ring and From Software games including nods to Guts, the Dragonslayer, Berserker Armor, Griffith, the Godhand, and Apostles.
