It just feels criminal. i understand society expands, and moves on but preserving our heritage is so important.

I cried when you showed what was torn down. I'd rather have narrow streets...

when i see old black and white photos of places that were demolished before even my grandparents were born, it makes me feel some kind of nostalgic sadness for this piece of history that nobody will experience ever again.

I suppose it is true that “those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.”

Sad to hear it was torn down we really need to preserve our history. We are blessed to have so many ruins and preserved buildings like Warwick castle or kennelworth castle

One of the great many examples that show that a society's heritage can only be preserved when that society fights for it. Every old building torn down is a vote for convenience and against remembrance, either by not caring or by actively choosing to make way for something new.

Nice that some of it still remains, especially the arch section. You may have been there already but Stoney Littleton Long Barrow inbetween Bristol and Bath is worth a look.

I love the dichotomy between the splendour of the immaculate historical content and the windswept 1970s heavy metal hairdo.

The wonderful medieval history aside, your smile is just mesmerizing. I hope that's okay to say.

Huge anglophile here, spent every year for decades touring all over England and can say there are examples like this in many cities and even villages. Regrettable but fascinating. Love these clips!

I really don't understand why the local councils allowed the destruction of many medieval or historic buildings in cities and towns across England. The people who made such idiotic decisions should be ashamed forever. So sad....
