Simple Stop Block System for Miter Saws [How to]

In this video I show you how I added a stop block to my new dual bevel compound miter saw. It was made with some scrap bits of plywood and I put it together in just a few minutes. Adding a stop block to your miter saw helps you make repeatable cuts easier and faster.

Simple and effective. I am going to make sure I can mount it to my saw and make one.
The only thing I would suggest is adding a small (~1/8"-1/4") bevel on the bottom of the long fence to help prevent gathered dust in the corner from stopping the workpiece shy of the block and making pieces short.

Great idea, simple and effective. I suggest adding a small perpendicular block on top of the long inner stop block to keep the left end from dropping down when sliding it.
