Thanks. Eddie, This is the first time I’ve been educated on the side effects of leveling. Glad to know this information.

I have 2017 leveled 3500 single rear wheel L5p. It just has keys and shock extenders. Added extra leafs in the back for towing in due to the amount of tongue weight my trailers are. I’m honestly happy with the leveling kit I tow every day and I’m able to run 35s can’t tell much of a difference from stock ride but the rear is a little stiffer unloaded. Not sure if that’s just because I’m used to a stiffer riding truck (also own 3500 dually and f550 all with added leafs) but my single wheel 3500 is my best riding truck

Eddie, I did level my Silverado and I like the ride. I have a 2016 Silverado crew cab Duramax. I also like that going into a corner I don’t get the body roll. I also put 33x12.50x20” on it and have no rubbing. Love your truck

Dude, you're spot-on about those retractable steps! My buddy has a Ram, and those things go all the way up behind the body line - out of sight! Come on GM!

Couldn’t agree with you more! Leveling an IFS truck is a huge injustice...You can usually go 6-8 turns on the torsion bars that will give you 1-2” lift and that is the absolute max you should go....keys twist the torsion bars past there design limitations, hurting everything in the front end. One important thing you didn’t mention is that the 4wd axle shafts are operating way outside there designed angles when you level it.ive personally seen more than one Duramax truck blow the front half shaft in a million pieces and it wasn’t because they are weak it was because the truck was not lifted improperly and they hooked a chain and put truck in 4 lo and
Iiterally blew pieces the truck properly dropping the differential and maintaining the correct angles, the stock cv joints can easily handle 37 inch tires with no issues.

Was up my good friend Eddie lol great video but i was going to ask you a favor if you could do a comparison video of a dually truck vs. A non dually truck....like pros n cons....because personally i would love a dually but im on the fence....on which one i should go for ....for bieng my 1st. Diesel truck....i love the way ur truck looks like but i think it would be a Great video if you do a comparison of those trucks...and also tell us why you pick a single wheel truck vs. A dually Thanks💯👌👍👍

Drop the rear end with either new shackles or air bags. leave the front geometry alone. Learned that on my 2006. Zero complaints on a 2016 2500HD LTZ with lowered rear. Looks sick, drives great and you can get 33" BFG's on it.

Great vid.
Question for you or anyone who might know. Are the stops under the control arms a GM thing or a Heavy Duty thing? My Ram 1500 (yes....a gasser) doesn't have those and I have room for days.
I guess not all "leveling kits" are created equal. Did he use just the basic spacer on top of the strut?
I installed a 3" coilover on new shocks that was called a "leveling kit" with 1" rise in the rear. Which to me seams more like a suspension lift rather than a level. Rides descent....not great.

Changing the shocks has no affect on the tow rating. Rancho shocks don’t maximize the tow rating.

For me the best way of leveling these trucks is by putting longer hangers on the back thats it . And you won’t touch anything in the suspension

Hey bro, y'all are big pimpin out there in Cali!! Do you think it is better to delete a 2500HD first before adding a 6 in. lift and steps? Who has the best delete kit?

Greetings 🙏. Interesting video thank you for the info. I'm fixing to level my 2019 2500 HD gmc with just the 3.5" kit can't wait to ride it lol

I think when you are at the point that you can say "I don't care about that 70k Duramax Denali I drive" is when you really made it in life :) But I'm with you I love hearing the rumble of a nice V8 engine.

Using the keys should have the same ride quality as stock?

Besides the DEF tank location, GM needs to level the trucks from factory. I leveled my ‘17 duramax with SuspensionMaxx and it rides very close to stock. If you want stock down travel add their upper control arms to the kit. SuspensionMaxx is the best leveling kit if leveling is all you want.
