Please cite the Atheists claiming there is "random nothingness".

Because I looked into it and couldn't find a single one.

Which is stupider, the question or the answer?

Random nothingness? Religious people have a harder time wrapping their heads around our views than we have with their arguments.

Clearly never had an adult discussion with a normal atheist, hey?

I’m a “lefty SJW democrat” turned libertarian, right-leaning. I have a daily wire membership & in the minority as an atheist. Religion is the one thing I’ll always disagree on with the crew

Ignorance breeds Arrogance, a lot of Theist falls into that trap. Peace.

Accepting that this life is very likely the only thing we get is actually quite liberating. It helps you understand how precious this life actually is and helps you learn to not take it for granted because it can all be taken away from you in an instant. It helps prevent you from squandering your life away because you think you will have an eternity of blissfulness afterwards.

I dont get this obsessive need to tell people wrong answers for what athiesm is. I was raised Christian growing up. Mostly I lost faith in Christianity and Religion in general over time and didn't really feel any sense of loss after many years of trying to come to terms with not being satisfied with the answers that were provided. The apologetic talking points were unhelpful. Basic concepts like any necessity of religion and an afterlife were already shaky ground for me. I'm perfectly content with "I don't know" as an answer without having to decide which specific denomination of which specific religion is the winner, as Pascal's wager always failed in that regard. Then I always had issues with the concept of first sin as simply believing that God is truly an omnipotent being would mean that the entire genesis story was all according to plan, and it's even further conflicting with the idea that the "Forbidden fruit" was the source of "The knowledge of good and evil" and it would be assumed that lies and deceptions are a form of evil. So it goes to follow that they wouldn't even be able to understand the concept, yet God still chose to punish them and all of humanity for it. Many say it's all allegory and parable or prose and that it's symbolic but without first sin there is no origination point to Jesus. Then it leads into issues with the necessity of Jesus and God as a concept or being needed to go through the whole rigmarole of impregnating a virgin to grow to be sacrificed to forgive a sin that could have only happened if God wanted it to. It just seems all so unnecessary and that if the God of the Bible did exist as depicted then the point of knowledge wouldn't be needed and it would be far simpler to come to a conclusion on what form of Christianity to even go with, let alone if that's where one should start, as the biggest decider in one's religion is generally your location of birth and your parent's or guardian's religion. I prefer to just live a secular life with basic cause and effect as a baseline for attempting to reduce or cause as little harm in the world as I am capable of. If I'm wrong and there's something after death then I'll deal with it then. If it deems my actions unjust then so be it, I still lived as I felt right.

Religious people will cast accusations on ANYBODY who does not believe in God.
No different then progressive cast accusations. Opposite side of same coin.

Look how is it satanic?... Atheist don't believe both sides. Being an atheist is wayyy better than believing in giant man in sky

The Great English Catholic apologist G.K. Chesterton is quoted as saying *"The trouble with people who do not believe in God is NOT they "believe nothing" but it is that they will believe anything."*

It's not about power, it's about what is likely true and what we do or don't have good reasons to belive.

I'd prefer an atheist conservative than a Christian leftist. Because an atheist conservative has demonstrated they know what's right even if they're unaware of the grand design.

Must be nice to be able to use your psychic god powers to read the minds of atheists so you could answer the question with such confidence.

I don’t believe in adult fairy tales because I want power? I like Klavan but he’s just another apologist.

Sorry, Andrew, but I don't think that why what being an atheist is about. I'm not really religious, but I don't think that means it's ok to be violent, break the law, or have no standards; I actually agree with a lot of Christian values, despite not having any scientific proof of God.

Oh, and I am enjoying your Another Kingdom series; looking forward to "A Strange Habbit!" - really don't know why we need to wait all that long until October if it's already written.

"Belief in random nothingness"? Honestly, I've heard ao many arguments made from the christian standpoint that are blatant strawmen arguments. Some are even arguments that have been taught by the church for ages now which aren't based in actually talking with atheists. I think I speak for more educated atheist thinkers who don't believe in "random nothingness". We don't know honestly how existence happened exactly, but there has to be better answers than just giving up and diving into superstitious, magical or divine answers. We know so much more than we did 1000 years ago. Even so 100 years ago. I'll trust the tried and tested method for learning about the world and universe around us thanks.

The need to always use such strawman arguments to me says someone has no argument and they are in desperate need of one so they invent things to favor them.

If Theists didn't have meaningless assertions, they wouldn't be Theists.

Atheism is just the non belief in god not the belief in nothing a strawman I see. Atheist can still believe in an afterlife without a god in play they also can be against evolution ect. It isn’t a worldview for the last time.
