In this video we shall be downloading and installing the fantastic, free automotive software that is Forscan. A beginners guide & how to use tutorial

There are many OBD2 scanners, but does the FORScan somehow differ? Yes, because it is designed especially for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. So supports specific features of the manufacturer protocols, making the FORScan more powerful in work with these models than any regular OBD2 scanner.

For example, FORScan can detect modules which are not visible for regular OBD2 scanners, can show you trouble codes which are never displayed by OBD2 scanners, can show you PIDs which are not supported by any OBD2 scanner, run specific tests and service procedures. In other words, FORScan can do things that regular OBD2 scanners can not do.

EXCELLENT (pardon my shouting) tutorial. Not a word spoken any yet it was clear as a bell. I set my software up step by step, pausing this video so I could complete each step. It worked flawlessly the first time I tried it on my 2016 F250 SD. I used the EX link bought through Amazon.
My pickup came with towing package, but did not have the gain control for trailer braking installed. I bought a Ford control and did the quick install, it's easy because the harness is already there. Using Forscan I was able to tell the on board software that the switch had been installed and Voila! the 'gain' worked and showed up on my display screen.

We are trying FORscan on a 08 ford ranger 3l diesel, we go to do the injector test and get nothing from the injectors car cranks but doesn't start.

Hey mate, thanks for the great video for us.I would like to ask some questions as newby to ford.1) i will change my 195/50/15 tyres to 195/55/15 or 195/60/15. 1) Do i have to resetup speedo with the program? 2)I have an old obd bluetooth adapter.Will it work? If no, can u suggest us a cheap one with cable please?

Thanks for this great information 👍🏻 the forum is proving hard to register when it comes to the vehicle section just says It’s a required profile field and needs to be filled I have but still won’t except it, is there a specific way to enter vehicle details thanks again for your time 👍🏻

this is great, but one question, 3, 27 into the video it lists some adapters, but on my screen there are none listed, there's not even a drop down menu for them other than bluetooth, is there a way to fix this please?
