Stihl Saw, TS400 start up, first try for 6 months.

This Stihl Saw, a TS400, although the older model it is pretty new. I am referring to the fact that it was purchased new, and then only worked on 3 driveways and a couple of patios. Total running time 10 hrs.

HOW TO START IT UP.
New fuel in, 50/1 ratio, don't leave the old stuff in, it goes off after a few months and shags the engine.
Decompression on.
Full throttle lock.
Full choke on.
Pull the handle. Pump away ;-)
Once it gives a little cough, back the choke off to half.
Then pull the handle again, it should fire up straight away.
The rest is down to listening to the engine and experience, how cold the environment is etc
Let it run for a few minuets to warm the engine parts, on tick over.

Complicated, but it works every time and saves the machine from over I forgot if choke on, was up or down half way through but hay I've slept since the last start up.

It is true that as this machine is not vibration damped, like the new ones, allowing you to run a straighter cut without wobble. Well, I think so.

Don't use these machines inside you will pass out from carbon monoxide, if you don't vomit first. This was just to demonstrate, and all the windows were wide open; and yes people say don't stand on the back box filter as is did. I did not put too much weight on it, as it was just to stop the machine sliding on the DPM.
