I had one 2CV from 1978 to 1995 and was never disappointed, crossing France from North to South in all seasons, in winter through mountains under snow without special equipment thanks to its lightness and its narrow large tyres, in hot summers no problems of overheating thanks to its flat twin air cooled engine, The only breakdown I had after km was a run out of gas in the countryside but the car is so light that we could push it to the nearest gas station. At the end of its carrier the rust with holes in the floor decides me to sell it for next to nothing but I regretted it because the mechanical is really relentless and allways repairable

I rode in one in England in 1985. It was extremely slow, but the ride was very soft, which is just fine when you are not (or cannot be) in a hurry.

My dad had one he used to drop me places when I was a teen. Used to ask him to drop me round the corner as I was embarrassed 🙈 it was fun though felt like you were on a boat!! In the end it got so damp and shabby it had plants 🌱 growing out of the back seat !!!

When drive it your will love it, I has a 2cv, 3cv ( an Argentinian version) a dyane 6 and Ami 8 club.. the simplicity and realizability of those car it’s AMAZING.. 🤩 ✌️and super fun to drive .

The soft suspension was to be able to carry eggs into town from the farm also the seats were little more than lawn chairs

James Bond had it right in 1981's "Four Your Eyes Only". The 2CV in that 007 flick got MO' POWAH as it was modded with a flat-4 out of a Citroën GS 😁😁😁

My mom had this is deep red and called is Carla! She loved it and I fondly remember her taking my brother and I on my trips around the Sjælland, Denmark where we lived!
Let’s say : summers were a dream in this car, yet winters the complete opposite!
But man did we have amazing times in Carla❤❤❤

This is such a nice classic you could buy the in Germany and France until 1990 it's nicknamed the "duck 🦆"

a dude legit got stuck in the desert with one of these took it apart with hand tools turned it into a motorcycle and was able to drive to safety cool cars
