I'm 49 years old. I was 9 years old in 1983 when the G.I. Joe cartoon came out and 10 when the Transformers cartoon debuted. Then in late 1984 and into 1985, both G.I. Joe and Transformers would come on back to back, Monday through Friday afternoons and sometimes special 2-parters on Saturdays on WGN TV here in Chicago. The same station that aired 'The Bozo Show' every morning and the majority of all the Chicago Cubs games. There were even voice actors who did both G.I. Joe and Transformers in particular the late Chris Latta who voiced Cobra Commander and Starscream. So for us OG G.I Joe and Transformers fans, that was a huge reveal! I'm cautiously optimistic about the crossover. But if they follow the same path like they've done with Bumblebee and now Rise of the Beast, perhaps something awesome and special is upon us with the Hasbro cinematic universe.

I’d be fine with a GI Joe crossover. This is a completely different series from the bayverse, it can do what it wants. As long as the movie is good, I’ll be fine with anything.

I love how, if youve seen the previous films, youre conditioned to associate secret government organization with Sector 7. Which makes the reveal to be GI Joe, all that more satisfying.

Putting GI Joe in there was a crazy callback reference, but i think they put themselves in a tangle with that. I was expecting Sector 7 to be their name.

For the end credits where Mirage was being repaired, i feel like I Wheeljack should've been there, at least in vehicle form, to imply that he helped in the process and is the team's brains.

Alot of people did not ask for a crossover. They just wanted a proper transformers franchise not connecting to michael bays movies. Plus the director of transformers rise of the beasts did not want to have a gi joe crossover, it was lorenzos idea. Pretty soon hasbro will scrap the idea after they hear that no one wants this

Seriously thought the S7 or NEST might be mentioned but damn Travis Knight and those who worked on this movie are truly 80s fans. Closest thing we can have a TF and STH crossover. They really outdid themselves masterfully with that ending reveal
