Definitely an interesting use for a VM. Also, in your c++ program, that commented while loop definitely reminded me of my first days with PHP. I often had a commented loop somewhere, for reference, as they were often confusing the hell out of me. Copied straight off the docs. Especially for loops :D Good luck with your channel!

Thank you for this tutorial. Yesterday, i successfully manged to migrate my windows 10 drive to a .cowq2 file and got it running in kvm/qemu with the help of this video.

If you want to show the progress in the convert process you can use the -p flag. Nice video!

I did similar using clonezilla took full disk backup and dumped it in VMware vm booted using clonezilla 1 bluescreen and then it works...


Is there a way I can copy or emulate the underlying hardware exactly as the old system
If I do wmic bios get serialnumber it should be both same in VMware and physical machine
