2024 Yamaha MT-09 - 10 YRS Of Refinement

Age is not always a good thing but in this case it is. New springs, new bodywork, new TFT, new airbox/intake, the list goes on and on.

I bought the 24 sp a few weeks ago. Its a significant update from my 2019 sp in every way. I test rode the standard model, loved it and ordered the sp. zero regrets.

I went with tracer 9 to do the second year service. Because it will be almost two hours waiting, I decided to do some test 🙄.... I tested the xsr900, the standard mt09 and the mt-09 Result:.... I don't have the tracer anymore... 😅.... A brand new Mt-09 SP lives in my garage now.... No regrets AT ALL. 😊

Love this channel, would make a suggestion, maybe take a few second to show what you look like on the bike from the side, to gauge size etc... MT 09 looks small, also would be nice as part of the review, couple of exits on the highway. Keep up the good work

There is a choice of TFT-themes available - for me, the SP ticks all the boxes, especially after a few mods: Tail tidy, comfort seat, semi-tall wind shield (makes a significant difference at high speeds), add braided steel brake lines in combo with track / road pads, a swap of the factory exhaust for a performance full system, Pro-tune with no factory limitations and optimised fuelling (it will be day n’nite) and the wet weight below 190 kgs.
With 181, 5 kgs wet and 118 whp, my current 2020 SP is a force on any serious mountain pass and the new gen4 SP certainly has the DNA to do even better in the handling department & co. 😎✌️🔥

I own a XSR900 first gen since 2021. I can not imagine that you need more power or torque than this bike provides. Besides, it is very light and classic.

If I had to choose between the 2024 09 and the previous generation, I would go for the older one.
The RN69 looks better overall in my eyes, even the headlight looks better than the headlight on the 2024 version. It's just mounted a few centimeters too high. I think that can certainly be changed.

As an owner of the 1st gen. I could see this a big upgrade compared to the last gen. This can be a do it all bike . But then again their are many adventure bikes at that price range just add a bit more like the bmw

Nice improvements since the Aluminum frame and slightly lower seat height for short people like me. For my needs it has to be the MT-09 Tracer however.
I jumped into the middle of the video and hear an American Narrating, yet the narrow twisty roads, different signage Corn, Cattle and Logging all in the same area. Not riding on the wrong side of the road. So my guess is Germany. I may be able to figure this out by checking out the link possibly for the dealer.

Okay, I’ll be the first to say what everyone has been saying elsewhere… I’m not sold on that Ironman-esk headlight either. I’ll stick with my 2021 MT-09 with all its quirks for now.

What exactly was changed about the master cylinder? Was the piston changed from axial to radial, or is it “just” the upgrade to a Brembo branded one? 🤔

As u said, it is a yamaha so no worries with reliability.... r u going to try MT 10 and is it available in Europe
