Exploring the catacombs of Paris ☠️ (Part II)

Second video of the underground exploration series of Paris.

This is the northwestern part, after walking through an intricate labyrinth and descending to the second level of the catacombs you will find this part which is quite impressive when you visit it for the first time.

Coming face to face with this vast amount of human remains is an indescribable experience, a reminder that in the end we are all the same.

There’s very little graffiti which means that it’s very deep by explorer standards but not even scratching the surface for how vast the catacombs really are.

Shits so eerie the fact that they are all dead and have no skin or tissue left but pure bones is enough to send a shiver down someone’s spine

If you saw that in a horror movie, you'd say they went over the top and it was unrealistic. An endless maze filled with bones is right out of Dante's inferno. Compounding how terrifying it is would be the sound of trickling water occasionally, but mostly utter silence. And miles of stone hallway mean you will hear echoes of your footsteps at different pitches and delays, based on the layout of the tunnel you were in. You would constantly think someone was following and stopping when you did. You would think there would be endless arrows spray painted on the floor to exits

I've been exactly where this man is standing, that access is very tricky and it could be dangerous. But this is really a thing you have to do one time in your life, i would never forget my night in the Catacombes

you can tell they’re really deep in the catacombs cause of all the skulls, skulls are rare near the surface cause people are always taking them
