Why Every Amazon Van is Dented

It's a tale as old as time: Amazon van pulls up, you notice dents.

Today we're talking about a few reasons why those trusty blue vans seem to have so much battle damage, and what happens to Amazon vehicles when they're finally laid to rest (or sold to an unsuspecting van-lifer).

Stuart you rock as always! Amazon has a brilliant setup with using the DSPs. All the benefits with very little of the liability.

As soon as peak routes ended amazon station management went out, inspected, and grounded about 30% of my dsp's fleet, mostly for dents.

5 amazon passed me on the motorway, every one of them damaged, reason the drivers are crap, rushing about like idiots,

I paid roughly $1.5 k just to be able to drive anything above 7.7k pounds up to 16.5k pounds. It took a medical checkup (renewal every 5 years), theoretical lessons, theoretical examination (about 1k possible questions) and a practical examination that also includes some theoretical elements. That's the amount of work that has to go into acquiring a license for 7.7k pounds to 16.5k pounds vehicles in Germany (additionally you need the basic driver's license of course, that will cost you about $2.1k). I am envious of your requirements for certain licenses, but I am also curious how many hazards could have been avoided by tighter restrictions. Anyway, I love your videos, I hope you keep going, I'll be there for all of them!

How do the dispatchers in the morning determine how the routes are dispatch to the drivers?

Sure accidents are bound to happen but it’s every Amazon van…. Like everyone. On top of that if you get damaged by one it’s almost impossible to get anyone to take responsibility for it because Amazon just hides behind the fact that it’s not them.

Hey thanks for the informative video! Do you know who manufactures the sliding door partition in the Amazon Ford Transit vans? Can't find any information on it or if it's custom for Amazon? Thanks!

Great video, as always ! You really should know that you don't have to dress up just to make a video for us. Yeah, probably better if you wear SOMETHING but you don't need to be "in uniform" when you're making a video in your living room! We love you anyway for what great videos you bring us every week.
