I love that you're sharing this. So many don't understand this especially when they see people using aids who can also walk sometimes. My aunt has a spinal chord injury that left her with chronic pain. Her knees are also not in very good shspe as well as some other things. She has been harassed many times for parking in disabled spots in her town. I've literally been shouted at in the car and been told to look where we park because they saw her walk out. That was a good day. Most days she's bed bound. She is a person who desires independence greatly and when I'm around I help as much as I can so she can rest so she can be able to maybe walk for a few minutes that week. Imagine being mad at people trying to live an average existence.

Jessica, you were one of the reasons I had the courage to ask my doctor for power chair for ME. It's so amazing. I can do so many things now. You helped me see that a wheelchair isn't a bad or sad thing. It's actually great and you don't have to sacrifice style to use it.
