2003 GMC Yukon C0265 EBCM AKA ABS control Module replacement

preview_player
Показать описание
This is for all GMC SUV and Trucks with code C0265. If you have both the parking light and the ABS light on, this video will help you solve that issue. This is a common issue with these modules. Over time, the module gets damage by the vibration of the vehicle, so it'll cause the light to illuminate and when it does, its time to replace it with a new one.

Make sure to buy the right parts for your vehicle. There are 3 different types of abs control module. There are
11-2-2 pins
16-2-2 pins
and a
40 pins
ABS control module. The one I'm replacing in this video is a 16-2-2 pins.

Tools:

Parts:
ABS control Module aka EBCM (electric brake control module)

Torque specs:
Hand tighten with tool

THANK YOU... DID IT AND IT WORKED GREAT!... [Piece of advice... Sucking off the old solder is very helpful for the new solder to flow]

terrific video! Want to weigh in on my problem? My 03 Cadillac escalade ESV, JL4 brake option, self applies all brakes gradually, eventually - sometimes - coding C0131 (Traction Control System Pressure Circuit) and then, sometimes, in addition, "Service Stability Control" on the DIC, coding C0161 (brake switch malfunction / but could mean pedal travel / pressure mismatch) Could it be communication problems? To get the truck to move, I turn off the engine, pump the brakes vigorously, then the brake pressure releases and I can move. Replaced malfunctioning brake MC - that triggered a broken (rusty) brake line, and then hydrobooster. Replaced all lines with SS, and while I was in there, all the calipers / hoses/ pads/ discs because...I was in there anyway. Pressure bled & ABS bled with tool. 4 months later the brake self application started. Stopped for 4 more months...now it's back. I use a Foxwell NT630Plus tool for ABS bleeding.

How did you drive for 5 or 10 minutes and the mileage not change?

Excellent video but still trying to figure out how to extract the torx bolts on the left side of the truck. They’re the ones you can’t see and they’re either rounded off or have crud in them. Can’t tell which one. For how long I’ve been scraping I think the latter. Not that this video is useless information but be aware that the bolts on it may be stripped out.

You make it look easy, I sure don't have enough room to get to the 4 T-20 bolts. Might be easier to change the whole unit

What does it mean when you put a envoy on the machine and it say manufacturer control module?

So did you really drive 5 minutes and didn't even add 1 mile to the odometer?🤨🤔

Hello, good afternoon! Could someone help me indicate where the EBCM is located in a 2008 GMC Acadia?
