I wonder if the reason why Tetris didn't work on the Benesse Pocket is because it's a WonderSwan Color game. Have you tried a non-color original WonderSwan game?

Someone was able to get a few Bandai Wonderswan cartridges to run on those V2 Pocket Challenge handhelds since the cartridges look nearly identical aside from a few differences in thickness. This is because both the Bandai Wonderswan and the V2 Pocket Challenge were both co-developed by Koto Laboratory.

Quite interesting devices. Just came across a recent article from BBC stating ' Nintendo has discontinued its 3DS handheld after about 76 million sales over a nine-and-a-half year period.'
