How to Share Only One Tab in Google Sheets

In this video, I am going to show you how to share only a single tab or sheet with another user in Google Sheets. There is not a built-in way to do this, but what we can do is use the IMPORTRANGE function to import the tab into a new spreadsheet and then only share the new spreadsheet with another user.

This worked great for me except when I went to sort the new sheet by column A, it bumped all of the data down to row 324 leaving rows 1-323 empty. Any thoughts on that?

Question: When it imported into the new sheet, it only imported the cell data but none of the formula's, colors, etc. How do I make sure it copies the exact sheet?

This works BUT, I can't add anything. If I add something everything disappears b/c it's not referenced correctly. How can someone share one tab and both people be able to work on it and change it?

This would be great if both master and copy could be updated. I need my employees to be able to add information as they go but need each employee to be private. This only works with me sharing info with them not in reverse.
