GETTING ORGANIZED - PART 2 - FREEZER INVENTORY - FREEZER COOKING - SAVING TIME AND MONEY

We are getting reading for the "BER" months and it's the perfect time to do a little food organization. I've been trying to get my pantry and freezers organized this week and I thought I would share a little of the process to help motivate you get organized.

I also have limited freezer space and have always kept a running inventory to stay organized. Just a tip for Costco shopping, don't just shove the boxes in the freezer. Take the contents out and separate into meal size portions in zip lock bags. Takes far less space and saves prep time.

Love how you call Shepherds Pie, "Comfort Pie." And the addition of creamed corn took me by surprise...but looks so yummy! It's always great to have a few pancakes in the freezer for busy nights...do you own an electric skillet, Darlene? A few years ago, I purchased one that cooks 6 pancakes at a time, and have never looked back. Even browning, no burning...I love it!

I’ve forgotten just how much i love a good shepherd’s pie / comfort pie for sure!! *mental note to put on my menu soon. I like the fact that you used creamed corn, that element brings a sweetness to pair with the umami of the mushrooms. Ok, I’ll try it! All of your other recipes I have made have never let me down. I'm not a fan if shepherd pie. I kinda think it was becuz it was done in the crockpot. Only becuz we did the same with a Philly cheese steak. Both done in the crockpot pot. I took the same Philly cheese steak recipe and switched it to stove top and we loved it. I've since avoided any recipe wanting me to put raw hamburger in the crockpot. So maybe someday I'll revisit shepherd pie but in the oven lol
