I just made this about an hour ago, the BEST tomato soup I've ever tasted. 3 simple ingredients and 40 mins to simmer, you can't go wrong.

Things you can always add ...
Garlic or Garlic salt
pepper, chili flakes, red chili powder
cream, heavy whipping cream, milk
red onion, red bell pepper
and thats all i can think of

I live in Central America with university students from the region. I made this soup (added a tablespoon of sugar and a few cloves of garlic) and toasted cheese sandwiches with pepper jack cheese (there are stores here where you can get some products from the U.S., thank God!) for one of my housemates. She thought it was the perfect combination of foods and said it was almost like eating a pizza!

I have to admit, as easy as this recipe is, it’s a winner. Got home from work last night and was going to make grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. I didn’t have the soup. So, I found this recipe and it was amazing. A can of diced tomatoes, half an onion, chicken broth and unsalted butter. Salt and pepper to taste and what a treat. I don’t think I’ll ever buy store bought soup again.

Guys I had green onions small sweet tomatoes that I needed to use up, tomato sauce butter so I’m using that it’s simmering I did add some Jalapeños... I let the spirit’s of the Abuelitas guide me 🤞🏼

Saw this yesterday and made it tonight. Simple and delicious. I did add some basil and oregano, served with a little shredded cheese on top. It was a hit, even my picky children loved it.

This tastes so good, I just made some. I added some cloves, and used sea salt instead of table salt.

thank you for this! my local grocery was out of canned tomato soup... never tried making it myself. i just added a lot of garlic, mrs dash, and red pepper flakes. yummy!

This video is amazing I'm sick and I asked to make tomato soup and my mom said we don't have the soup so I was like we will see and I went into the pantry and saw tomatoes sauce tomato paste and I had tomatoes so I went in my room looked up how to make it and your video was the key to my soup

Love this! I always have 28oz cans of Cento, San Marzano crushed tomatoes on hand, as i like to make quick gazpacho in the summertime. Now I have a quick wintertime tomato soup. Thanks for posting.
