I tried it today, only with changes: in a huge pot I steamed onions then added cabbage (no oil). In a separate small pot I cooked: lentils, split peas and barley and a huge amount of fresh (picked from my garden) oregano. No salt. I also just put the layers of steamed cabbage and onion on the bottom, then my cooked lentils/barley/split pea spices mixture, then canned tomato paste with dried garlic sprinkled on it (did not have fresh in the house) and topped it all off with more steamed cabbage and onions (two large red onions in total). It is delicious! Thank you for posting this video.

I grew up on stuffed cabbage. My Hungarian grandmother made the best. I've been making them vegan since 1996. I definitely want to try this recipe. The savoy cabbage looks much easier to roll up than regular cabbage.

I agree with the others, you should write a cookbook. Take nice pictures, type out the recipe and instructions attach it all together. Cookbook complete. Male several copies of course. I don't need a fancy one. Your recipes are what I like. I'd buy a couple of these books from you.

Your cat is gorgeous, your knife is awesome, and these are the most uniquely shaped rolls! In Romania, we wrap them vietnamese rolls style 😊

That cabbage is gorgeous, it looks so different from mine which has smooth white leaves whereas yours is bright green and crinkly. I’ve got a head in the fridge, and a bag of mixed whole grains & lentils, for the filling! I’ve got tomato sauce too!! And some Tofutti sour cream!!!
GONNA MAKE IT!!!! 😋😍🙏👍

Hi, thanks for this interesting recipe. Can you suggest a substitute for buckwheat groats? We don't get this in our country.
