Oh, it pains me to see you in this setbacks. But what's remarkable and inspiring is how you stay positive and even fired up to get back in the game.
Some article says that this has put obstacle in your journey to Tokyo 2020. But I say that it's still a loooong way out and you have plenty of time regrouping and get stronger. In the mean time, train smart and don't be too eager to push that ankle.
Thank you for sharing your journey with us. We only wish you the very best.

My son tore his ACL at age 11 playing soccer.  He was told he would never play again because of being too young for the surgery.  We found another set of surgeons that had a procedure for preadolescent injuries.  My son worked hard, and in a year was playing without a knee brace.  I tell you this, because my son was inspired by young men like yourself who had shown the determination and grit to comeback.  They contacted him, encouraged him and were magnificent.  I tell you this because sharing your journey, your ups and downs, your effort, will all inspire many.  Thank you!

Yo dude!
Tore two ligaments in my knee and my meniscus last year from playing football. At first I was devastated because I was just about to go professional. However during this past year of recovery I have come to realize that injuries only make you stronger as a person. Before I injured my right knee, doing HiiTs every other day was horrible, I was not looking forward to it. But now, when im in the phase of starting to play again, everything, every exercise, whether it is with a ball or on a treadmill is easy. What was a hassle or hard before will be easier when your starting to feel 100% again.

Stay hungry Nile, I wish you a speedy recovery.

I recently snapped all the ligaments in my ankle keeping me from sand volleyball, so seeing you get back out there so soon is very inspiring to work hard every day!

Stay Strong Mate! Two years ago I snapped two ligaments and broke my left ankle doing a basic Tsuk tuck on vault, I've now managed to get back stronger than ever and be a medalist at the Aus National Champs! Love your videos champion!

A few month ago, I just stumbled on to your channel, one of the things why YouTube can keep you busy for a long time. And I have never really shown interest in gymnastics, but I stayed and watched a few more videos simply because I liked the way you make your videos and because of your accent. And now watching this video and knowing from older videos that you were injured before I find it fascinating and inspiring how you keep going, keep pushing to come out on top and learn from that experience. I wish you all the best, truth is I haven't checked how it is now, but I hope you are doing better!

I know this is an old video, but it’s great to see other people push through injuries and come back out on top. I’ve been through 2 surgeries and MANY months of pt on my shoulder with what seems like no end, but always gotta keep going. Proud of how strong you’ve become and hope you continue to inspire!!!

very positive example.. I know how very hard when a athlete who does what he loves and then can't do that when he has a injury... you're the best determined example to a lot of people...

I recently found your channel, and I honestly cant explain how much you have inspired me. I am 16 y/o and have been swimming on a competetive stage since I was 9. The start of this season (august) was going so great, I was faster than ever. Then suddenly, I broke my finger and injured my shoulder in an accident. 2 months later when I had recovered, I got sick and couldn't swim for another 2 months. This was tough period, and I wasn't allways looking at the bright side. You could say I got really depressed and unmotivated. But now I am finally starting to feel better, and I am ready to start killing it again! Your videos has given me my motivation and ambition back, and I TRULY mean that. It's true what you said, you'll come back stronger and better so don't give up mate! I am cheering for you bro!
