The people of Mauritania are very much in love with tea. the average person gets through at least nine cups a day. But there's far more to the process than merely boiling the kettle. CGTN's Vauldi Carelse went hunting for the perfect Mauritanian brew.

As a Black Man 👨🏿 from America 🇺🇸 I love ❤ the kulture of Mauritania 🇲🇷... Especially our beautiful women of Africa 🌍.... Alhamdulillah! I noticed she didn't mention any tea that is grown in Africa... They said imported green tea 🍵 from China 🇨🇳. Many African Countries grow exceptional and excellent teas 🍵 .. too. Shouldn't Mauritania import it from Ethiopia, Kenya. Tanzania 🇹🇿, and Zimbabwe of always looking outside of Africa 🌍 and they have the very best of teas 🍵 in the world that are right there in South Africa 🇿🇦.. Grown, Owned, and Produced by Black Africans Etc.... Respect!!!!

I am Moroccan and the kingdom of Morocco has always claimed Mauritania as a pre-colonial Moroccan territory. Mauritanians and Moroccans share a common ethnic/genetic make up (specifically Beidan Moors) which is largely Amazigh (as indicated by Mauritanian toponyms: Adrar, Ouaddan, Atar, Tiris, Zemmour, Akjoujt, Tagant, Tijikja, etc) with some minimal admixture from recent Arabic tribes. Northern Mauritania and the Moroccan Sahara are exactly the same.

Mauritania is Morocco's and part of modern Algeria's ancient Amazigh name. The kingdoms of Mauretania Tingitane and Caesariensis. Maurtianians should embrace their Amazigh identity. All Northern Maurtiania is Amazigh.
