Why Endgame's ALTERNATE ENDING Is Bad

#AvengersEndgame has a #DeletedScene where #TonyStark visits the #Afterlife following his endgame-winning snap in Endgame. Do you think that seeing #Morgan in the #Afterlife works in the movie. Or did the #RussoBrothers and Marvel make the right move in cutting it?

Should this scene have stayed in the movie?

Instead of Morgan there should have been Yinsen asking him if his life was worth it...

Imagine being told you'd get to be in the biggest movie ever only to have your only scene cut

I'm glad they cut it. It would have undercut his sacrifice at the end to have him say he thinks he made a bad choice.

Tony's death is great because it portraits the death of a human. The scene would be a mistake IMO.
It's much stronger to see a body fall, lifeless, no aftermatch. It makes death so much painful and at the same time, life so much meaningful. Add that to the moral that, doesn't matter how super he was, his end is the same.
That's something I really hate about Voldmort death in the HP movies, they made him turn into dust, while in the books he ended as every other creature, exactly what he feared the most.

Glad they cut it out. Otherwise, we'd be wondering how and when Tony's going to resurrect himself.

The scene is terrible, and RDJ isn't at his best in it. It seems like he's phoning it in a bit.
I'm glad it was cut out.

They really should have done a throwback to yinsen from iron man 1 when yinsen appeared as a watcher with stan lee offering tony a place beyond time

They didn't have much chemistry. Think it was her acting. Didn't seem to have any emotion.

I think a version with Tony speaking with Natasha as an end credit scene would've worked. Especially this would have been best when they had the re-release. Adds a bit more of a heartfelt farewell to the two beloved characters.

If you die in one reality, you die in all the others? That doesn't makes sense because there would be a ton of realities where people die and then the MCU doesn't work even a little bit. Like in one reality where Captain America dies to Red Skull, then he would have died in all realities, and boom, none of the stuff happens in most of the MCU movies.

The ending of Return of the King was the epilogue. Most movies now either just end or have a 5 second ending because theyre easier to figure what happens after the movie. after a full 3 movie trilogy where a lot of shit goes down, seeing what happens afterwards is just as much a part of the story as the beginning

*The Ancient One* never specifically said in the alternate scene that when someone dies, all the copies of that person in the multiverse dies... *She just said that Death is Inevitable.*

...which is consistent with her philosophy in Doctor Strange 1.

Funny thing about the LOTR ending.... Jackson actually did cut half of them out.
Check the size of the third book. You're only a 3rd of the way into it when the ring is destroyed.
Dead set nobody.... NOBODY.... can waffle on endlessly like Tolkien could...

This deleted scene, like you said, it is confusing, and it is hard to just suddenly develop feelings for grown up morgan, since we've only seen her in a few scenes in the movie. Plus, Banner didn't see Natasha is probably because, he was reversing the snap to bring everyone back, without the intention of killing, unlike Tony and Thanos.

I`m honestly glad the cut it out. I felt like her acting wasnt as good as RDJ`s and there was no chemistary

They should've casted someone else. Katherine's acting wasnt that good compared to RDJs. Her skills aren't on the same level as his.

I actually think the “If you die in timeline X, you die in every timeline” is TERRIBLE. Think of every single marvel universe where there are cool versions of characters. Or how say, DC has the awesome Thomas Wayne batman after Bruce dies. In marvels trash ultimatum, everyone dies. Basically if that rule were applied to comics, no character could ever die,

I said this scene was garbage once it was released and people were getting pissed at me in the comment section lol

It isn't really an alternate ending - it's a deleted scene, but yes it's bad.
Black Widow is the person in soul world. Having him see anyone else is kind of an insult to her character. It contradicts the stories themes on so many levels.
For example: It makes it more about Tony - and his life - which contradicts the selfless nature of his sacrifice. *They made good decisions with how they ended this film.*
The ending is perfect.
