To be fair, the Iron Gauntlet was already incredibly dangerous and unstable even before _two_ snaps, even in the hands of the superhumanly protected or durable. Strange may not have survived that long enough to actually reverse Tony’s death, at least not without removing the other stones. And even _then_ the time stone is easily the most uncooperative and easy to misuse infinity stone, and he doesn’t have the Eye of Ag. to properly channel it because it was destroyed _before_ the snap so it didn’t return with him.

As soon as I saw Batman I knew he was gonna snap him away without the gauntlet! I love it! Batman can do ANYTHING because he's BATMAN.

I get that Cap wanted to keep his promise about the dance, and I get that there's a risk of creating branches in the timeline, but those extra Pym Particles could have been used to save Black Widow after she got the Soul Stone.
