UIC issues safety warning to students after robberies near campus

Following three armed robberies near campus, the University of Illinois at Chicago on Tuesday became the third Chicago university to warn students about spiking violent crimes in recent weeks.

Hiring more campus police or having more patrols isn't going to do anything. With the Safety Act, all a person has to do is get arrested and then they're let out to commit more crimes. We're seeing that more and more, but I'm happy this is happening around, campuses, because these are the people who ask for this. They wanted to support this sort of legislation. Most of these people are from California. They're hipsters, or as we like to call them here in Chicago, for those of us who are actually Chicagoans, yuppies. This is what they voted for. This is what they get.
