This video was worth watching it and it's finally a video with a clear instruction on how to build a lathe and without this annoying imperial measurement system. Unfortunately the school started today so i have to look for some spare time to recreate the lathe.

ok so cool lathe like it a lot built one myself now I have one of those crappy harbor freight ones that I had to reinforce the hell out of because as soon as you screw in the tail stock the whole tail stock would lean back causing misalignment and a serious wobble. as for the threaded rod your screwing down to hold the tail stock in place it also causes the whole tail stock to lean back causing the same wobble how cam itnotthe stocks are now no longer aligned
