As a lesbian... I have never once had this reaction. My #1 reaction when a woman tells me she missed her period is, "Oh, you must be under a lot of stress." and if it turns out she is preggo, then that ends that chapter unless it was planned.

Ladies. Missing your period can also be due to too much stress OR exercise! I knew a few female swimmers who lost theirs due to training every day or two. Eating disorders can also make your periods stop as your body isn't getting all the necessary vitamins&minerals / can't regulate your hormones properly. (Something like that, in my limited understanding - please correct me if I'm wrong 💗).
