This actually makes me sad. He has obviously had his needs ignored by his parents in the past because when he needed help, he didn't ask for it because he didn't want to tie up resources that could go to someone else. He waited until he was in extreme danger before asking for help. Next time, call for help at the first sign of trouble.

'Adventure Aaron' has had experiences that made memories that will last his lifetime. With the power of social media he was able to share his journey with strangers and hopefully inspire others to perservere and chase dreams.

Too bad he worried everyone unnecessarily for 33 days. Still, I’m glad he’s back home intact.

So this dude could have called for help earlier but decides to keep going on for 33 days ? So in actuality he wasn't really lost at sea cause he clearly knew what he was doing by having emergency supplies foods and compass. It was only on day 34 when his boat was capsized by waves and left with only a leaky life raft that he decides to call for emergency coast guard help

Another ACR Survivor, glad he had one of our Personal Locator Beacons with him to let Coast Guard know where he was.

he gives me chris mccandless vibes. glad his story had a better ending. the ocean is very unforgiving. hopefully he can just focus on rebuilding his life for now.

The Coast Guard would be sick to hear he delayed calling for THEIR benefit. Don't follow his lead. Send the beacon immediately.

Glad the guy's ok but people like this annoy me. They go out not truly prepared for an emergency with the most basic supplies.

Wonder if you could attach foldable or collapsible outrigging to those kinds of boats. They are interesting, but the waves out at sea aren't very forgiving. Then again the crazier waves tip over or break huge ships so maybe they'd roll you over regardless.
