As a straight man, the thought of transgender people "exposing themselves", makes me uncomfortable. But it's probably good that the group is now being put under legal scrutiny. The sooner the rest of the LGB community breaks away from this other nonsense the better. It's gotten so crazy and so extreme that it makes the entire movement look like a joke.

if children and babies have no gender, why is there a need to transition them later in life, from one sex to the other? why can't you be what you are and who you are in the body you were born in without the drugs and surgeries. this is a dangerous path for young people who cannot give informed consent

I am a straight white man from the USA and unfortunately I no longer consider myself and Ally of the modern LGBTQI community anymore. I love my LGB friends and I will fight with them to the ends of the Earth, but the modern movement hates me for simply existing. I have done nothing wrong but that doesn't matter. They can hate me for who I am for no reason and that is fine. But I can't do the same, which is also fine, I don't hate anyone except for drag shows for kids and people who want to transition kids. I hope that the LGB breaks away from the nonsense and I will gladly be and Ally again.

Another facet of the "reactionary progressive" phenomenon has arisen in Australia, but it's far older than the trans issue. For decades, our Aboriginal citizens have been treated differently to all other races - separate Minister, separate government departments, separate State and Federal funding, separate organisations, and so on and so on - in effect setting up an Apartheid system of treatment. Aboriginal issues are not treated according to need, they are treated according to race. Recently, a referendum has been proposed to give Aborigines a separate Voice to Parliament that no other race has access to, seeking to mandate in our Constitution a power to influence the executive that no other race has. Yet this is promoted not as a racist, patronising throwback, but as "progressive". Fortunately, Australians seem to suss out that a backward, patronising, racist model is no longer applicable in the 21st century, and seem set to throw out the proposal later in the year, according to polls. Can any intelligent person step back and say "let's give 3% of our citizens extraordinary rights based purely on their race" and, understanding the diabolical history of the 20th century, conclude "Yeah, that's progressive!" It's absolutely nuts.

Congratulations LGB Alliance. It's time the TQUIA2S+ start fighting their own battles. They're a completely different branch and their agenda/interests have nothing to do with gays, lesbians and bisexuals. It's like a motorcycle club knocked on the door of a jetski club and demanded to join. Both use fast vehicles, but are nothing the same.
