I'm currently studying the language at around the N4~N3 level, and I think kanji is quite difficult at the early and advanced stages, but at the intermediate; everyday level where the characters are used quite frequently and have somewhat guessable meanings; I've found it to be somewhat convenient. While the written script of Japanese might be harder than something English speakers are familiar with, it makes vocabulary easier to build in my opinion as some words have a logical composition from the kanji.

Great video! I can only remember about 13 kanji off the top of my head from my college courses lol. Looking forward to the next video. 😀

If you ever do this again I have two suggestions this one 贅沢 and my personally favorite because it would represent how you would feel if you had to write it 鬱. Wish more of the kanji was like 山 or 火 because it kind of resemble what it is but thankfully we have technology now. ありがとうございました。

The English translation is written as Sinto, but it should be Shinto
