The cap/lid opener tool wasn’t really designed for people who are young, healthy, and able-bodied, so I’m not surprised you didn’t find it useful. It’s primarily for the elderly (usually due to arthritis or loss of dexterity) or people who are disabled and don’t have full range of motion in their hands, making it difficult to hold a bottle securely and open it. The product creates a wider surface area that makes it easier to grasp without as much force/strength as it would regularly require, while also minimizing the bending of joints and minimizing the pressure put on them. Whether or not this product actually does what it claims and performs that way is still unknown, but as a young, healthy, able-bodied person, you’re definitely not the target audience, nor would you be able to fully test it out the way it was intended or be able to recognize how useful it might be. Hopefully that helps clear things up and helps you (or anyone reading this) understand it better. As someone who is disabled myself, I can definitely see this product being useful if it works how it claims it does. 😊

The pill bottle tool is for people with arthritis or weakened grip. My parents had one.

So, my husband has rheumatoid arthritis and gripping bottles can sometimes be painful. That is what the bottle open assistance is for.

The easiest way to test if the knife is sharper is to test it on a tomato. If the knife isn’t sharp, the tomato will squish down and the juice will squirt out. If the knife is sharp, the knife will glide through the tomato and the juice will mostly not squirt out.
