1 dead, 2 missing after being swept away in rain-swollen Ontario wash

One person died and two others were missing Tuesday afternoon after a group of people was swept away in an Ontario storm drain during Tuesday’s heavy rainfall. Shelby Nelson reports for the KTLA 5 News at 3 on Nov. 8, 2022.

One of the missing persons is my cousin and she had a place to stay but choose not to... She wasn't tossed out like trash from family... We all love her very much... May God bless all you hateful ppl your time will come and you'll remember all the hateful things you say...

We noticed yesterday a homeless man was living inside a storm drain near our work. We approached him to warn him there’s a storm coming and to seek shelter elsewhere. Unfortunately he wasn’t listening to us so we notified the police for his safety. The police said they would take him in for evaluation due to his mental illness and drug abuse. I personally would of felt awful if we didn’t do anything and he became another statistic 😕
