A tool I'm using to help grow my channel is called Tube Buddy and it helps me identify specific keywords that will help get my videos found on YouTube. I've found it very helpful when brainstorming video title ideas and finding tags that are specific to my video.

Thank you for taking the time to show how to do this with the option of screws for those of us that don't use pocket holes. However with the original jig you purchased from Amazon and the 3D addition you created i think i might be able to start.

I love how making this shelf gave birth to that nifty 3d jig addition 😊

Awesome easy way to make shelves, too bad I live in Florida, we have no basements. But very interesting. Thank you.

Great video! I'm on my way to building this with your jig! Also! did you do the gray spray foam insulation stuff in the ceiling pockets you can see in the cover photo here?

Great helpful video! I have no experience in doing something like this! One question though, why did you not apply any wood glue at all the connection points (in addition to screwing)? Just asking because a few other DIY videos I saw they do apply wood glue in addition to using screws... Just wondering if there was maybe a good reason not to use wood glue, is all. Thanks!

I would love to do something like this in my storage unit. But obviously I can't secure it to anything in there, would this work as a freestanding shelf?

That shelf doesn't look like it can even support a hamster in a cage with a fitness wheel....

When you use a 3D printer, you are making videos less accessible to your audience. If you are going to use your 3D printer, perhaps you could have incorporated the screw guide in it.

Dad used to skew nail - two four inch nails at different angles so the joint would not pull apart. Basically, that's what you are doing here.

I have seen another YouTuber use a simple wooden wedge as a guide. He started straight, when the drill bit grabbed he turned the drill to follow the wedge. Another eyeballed it.

I might have refined your original idea, but drill a hold to accommodate the screw head and some filler. The filler could be wood filler, a custom dowel plug from similar wood, or even contrasting material.

Dude....no one has the tools like your custom made jig. This is not simple enough for us common folks
