My mom always quotes that verse. “ a clean barn is an empty barn” and I always think of that when I get overwhelmed when my house or car is mess to the max or the kiddos spills something right after I just cleaned it. It helps.

We got a newer to us car and new carseats after being in a car accident.

I tried implementing not eating in the car for a while. That lasted about a week 😂. Thank goodness for cordless vacuums

Dollar tree has these amazing little cup holder sized car trash cans in their auto section. I bought two and use like doggy poo bags as liners for easy clean out. Highly recommend.

Giving the kids snacks in the car is the only way the adults can have some peace, other than screens. Imo cookies>phones and tablets

Trash can: I started using my used gallon sized ziplock baggies for car trash cans. You can close them so the trash isn’t falling all over, and stuff them so full over time until it’s time to just toss your trash pillow in the garbage.

The best thing to do for trash is grocery bags. You could attach them to the front row seat backs if you need them elevated for the kids, or just put them in a bathroom sized bin with a good weighted bottom so they don't tip. Growing up we ALWAYS had a grocery bag in the back seat to put trash in, and when it was full you could just tie it up and throw it in the larger trash at home or at the gas station if necessary.

I couldn’t imagine cleaning my car in public. I wouldn’t be able to bring all of the random things I find in the vehicle, inside my house in a giant box/trash bag that I’ll take 6 months to go through. Also, I’d rather not have to worry about my butt crack showing while I’m trying to get that 3rd row clean. But judging by your neighborhood facebook group posts, you’d still have to worry about that second thing!
