IS THAT A SUPRA?! No - two actually.

The A80 Mk4 Supra was a supercar killer fresh out of the factory. Car magazines at the time pitched it against the Porsche 911 Turbo, the Ferrari Testarossa, and the Aston Martin DB7. That still didn't stop people over time from tuning these monsters through the roof thanks to that legendary 2JZ engine. The A80 was sadly withdrawn from all markets by 2002. But after a long hiatus of the Supra badge, we now have the latest-generation A90, developed in partnership with BMW.

How will the A90 GR Supra 3.0 Pro do against its predecessor around the Top Gear test track in the hands of The Stig? How close will Becky Evans's predictions be? Watch to find out...

It’s amazing how an independent channel like Throttle House outdoes Thee Holy Top Gear for a comparison video + track test. Couldn’t help to notice how slow (as in boring) some of the track-driving bits are and made me realize the pure entertainment TH offers over this.

What a waste of 8min.. A80 has the 4-speed Auto. Awful gearbox! I can appreciate that the mods were probably allowed because the gearbox is so awful but c'mon! If you couldn't find a standard manual car just don't do the test??

Anyone who has driven the 2jzgte with the stock auto knows that was not a fair match up. The stig didn't even shift it himself instead he just left it in D.

Well this comparison is quite a Joke, if you're gonna use a modified Mk4 supra (AUTO? WTF) with like 450 hp why don't you get a GT500 (JGTC) modified Supra and then kill it on the track being the fastest car? this makes non sense at all.

Ok, so new supra feels good (a generic statement used to describe every car in this series) feels like a BMW (never heard that one before) and the old car is legendary and modified (no indictation to what exactly has been done to it). There was nothing new in this video. It's staggering how you've made a video like this with all that talent and material to your disposal. I'd recommend everybody to go over to the Hagerty channel to check out what a good company backed effort looks like. Also which lunatic decided to tune an auto Supra like that?

Such a weird review. They choose to use the 3 year old model with slightly less power and some suspension issues that were addressed the next year. And they use an Automatic MK4 tuned to 520HP. What's the point of this?
